What are offshore baskets used for?
Offshore Baskets can be used to transport a variety of materials, including but not limited to tools, pipe, construction supplies, scrap, and bulk waste products, tubular casing, pipe, hoses, down hole assembles and rods, or any long in length oversized bulky items. Engineered to handle long items during all-weather offshore operations.
What are the space requirements for casing?
In determining space requirements for casing, the following points are to be considered: working space. In accordance with API Recommended Practice RP 5C1 (Section 3), the height of the stack should not exceed 10 ft (3 m) including the pipe rack.

If casing is to remain in storage for a long period, the mill coating could be supplemented or the casing completely cleaned from the mill coat and re-coated. The internal and external surfaces of production tubulars may be grit blasted and then re-coated prior to storage.

Basket units feature load securing points with multiple internal tie-down points for safe and secure transport. Baskets can also be supplied with a load protection covers to eliminate the risk of snagging cargo. Cargo restraining nets are also available on request and all baskets are designed to not slip or slide on rig floors or barges.
